Vancouver

This is actually before our trip...it seems that if we are not watching Zal, this is what he gets up to....

In the Saskatoon Airport ~ wearing his airplane hoodie, double-fisting his toy airplanes, and holding his airplane blanket. OBSESSED!

In Calgary....we were SO GRATEFUL that we could travel together!

Zal and I enjoyed snacks and a Starbucks in Kerrisdale while Kendra and Dave and friends were snow shoeing. It was a treat to be outside without rain, see green grass, and be comfortably warm.

Bonding with "Aun...ie." It was exciting to hear Zal learn how to say AUNTIE during the week.

Kendra spoiled us all w/ gifts....this is a shirt from her school.

Airplane and Milk: life is good.

Seeing all the "wa wa" and "fishies" at the Vancouver Aquarium

Zal kept his distance at first.

Checking out the macaws...

Giggling....when they started squawking at one another....

Rachel was SURE there would be birds and monkeys at the aquarium: she was right!!

Dad F., do you know what this is? Yuck!

Zal was a little wary of some of the animals...

Chowing down while watching the beautiful belugas! Zal did not have the healthiest diet on the trip...but boy, does he LOVE ketchup and fries!

Jellyfish

Zal loved hanging out with this amphibian! Dave did insert a loonie....and there we stood: Dave, Kendra, and I with our iphones pointed in Zal's direction. Talk about nerds!

Ready for the very short 4-D show. Zal enjoyed the sprays of water.

Story Time with "aun...ie."

Celebrating the Canuck's victory at home.

Celebrating the Canuck's victory at the stadium.

Enjoying all of Daddy's favorite restaurants.

This was perhaps Zal's highlight: he went up and down this slide at the Kitsilano Beach a zillion times!

My contemplative husband.....actually on the phone.

Yes, I did go on this trip!

Stanley Park

Our last day with Uncle "I." We were so thankful for NO RAIN. :)

While in Vancouver we had three suppers and one tea with family:Nana and Papa Kent, the Kent aunts and uncles, Sean and Jamie, and the Enns uncles and aunts. All were super special....we had great food and a wonderful time of visiting. I'm kicking myself for not taking more pics of these events!

A very healthy snack at the food court. :(

Zal's favorite game at Auntie Rachel and Uncle Jesse's house was running from the wall onto their mattress. Here he is throwing himself onto Rachel. It was super cute!!

And, of course, he liked Auntie Rachel's computer! He also loved their phone and always called Papa when on it!

Showing off for both "aun....ies."

Supper with the Enns'! Zal was so excited to have kids around. He giggled and giggled when they arrived and said HI quite a few times!

Dave and Jesse took turns playing w/ the kids! They were very popular with them! :)

And, thus concludes the holiday. It was a special time of hanging out and visiting w/ family. Soon to come: pics from Christmas. Realized that I skipped that holiday in the blog album.
